Introduction

College of Architecture (COA) - Information Technology Services (ITS) is dedicated to the timely and diligent repair of COA equipment. This equipment ranges from workstations and laptops to servers and other enterprise level computing equipment.

Due to the expediency with which ITS must provide service to staff & faculty, we are unable to support or maintain any personal equipment. Personal equipment is defined as any device that is not purchased with University funds or maintained under University inventory.

Recommendations for Personal Computer Repair

Should you be experiencing software or hardware problems on your personal computer, there are both on-campus and off-campus resources that you can utilize in order to address the problems.

If your computer is under a manufacturer or extended warranty and was purchased through a local vendor (e.g. Best Buy), then you are encouraged to take the computer to the place of purchase for repair. Depending on the terms of your warranty, the vendor may be able to complete the repairs for free or minimal charge.

Furthermore, if you are the owner of a Dell or Apple computer that is still under original manufacturer warranty, Help Desk Central may be able to assist with your computer repair needs. They are an authorized service provider for both university-owned and personally-owned Dell and Apple computers.

A commonly trusted resource is Help Desk Central. The students and staff at Help Desk Central are trained and equipped to handle a variety of software or hardware problems for personal computers. This is a good resource to take your computer to in the event that your computer is no longer under warranty and you are looking for quality, but affordable computer service.
